With over 35 years of experience in the medical field, my journey began back in high school as an EMT. Since then, I've followed a life-long passion to care for others- working as a medical assistant in pediatrics, cardiothoracic surgery and family practice while also raising two wonderful children. After they grew up, I returned to school to pursue my RN degree and, in 2009, became a registered nurse in the emergency department in Joshua Tree, California. I also had the privilege of working at Loma Linda University's Level One Trauma Center in the ER and for Law Enforcement Medical Services-all while earning my Bachelor's Degree from Grand Canyon University. In 2014, I moved to beautiful Washington and joined Tacoma General's ER team. A few years later, I transitioned to St. Peter's ER while simultaneously pursuing my Master's and Nurse Practitioner degrees, graduating in 2020. I am dual board certified through ANCC and AANP.
Although I bring a wide range of experience, I believe there's always more to learn. I continually research every condition I encounter and stay up to date with the latest evidence-based guidelines. My promise to every patient is simple: I will always give you my full attention, my best care, and a deep commitment to your health and well-being.
In 2021, I met the love of my life and knew without a doubt that I would marry him and in 2023- I did. I am incredibly grateful to share my life with such a supportive, kind and amazing man. We have five beautiful grandchildren who bring so much joy and laughter to our lives and they mean the world to us. I will continue to be grateful, love and learn everyday of my time here on earth. I hope I can pass on hard work and dedication to my grandchildren, as I know I did to my children.
Healthcare has never just been a job to me- it is a calling. I love being able to show up for people in some of their most vulnerable moments, to offer not only medical care but also compassion,
reassurance and a sense of safety. There's something incredibly meaningful about building trust with patients and being part of their journey toward healing. Every person has a story and being invited into those stories, even briefly, is an honor I don't take lightly. It's what keep me grounded, inspired and grateful to do this work every single day.
